The In-Store App: A native extension of your OMS

The app runs natively on the devices your staff already use: Android and iOS phones and tablets, as well as Windows desktops. It also works with dedicated barcode and RFID scanning hardware, so everyday devices and specialist equipment meet in the same app.

When an online order lands, the store gets it as a guided picking task with an optimized pick list. Associates scan items to validate the pick, mark the order packed, and the customer is automatically notified by SMS or email that it's ready. What used to be a back-office process becomes a few minutes on the floor.

The app has a dedicated returns flow. The associate looks up the original order by receipt scan or search, selects the items coming back, and the refund goes back through the original payment provider at the original price. The associate then chooses whether the item goes straight back into sellable stock.

Yes, that is a core design goal. Everything an associate needs, from product lookup and live stock across locations to picking, returns, loyalty signup, goods receipts and stocktakes, lives in one interface. There are no legacy systems to learn and no jumping between tools. New staff are productive on day one.

Yes, on two levels. Each store activates only the capabilities its team needs, so the interface stays focused. Within a store, role-based access ties permissions to roles and scope: a temporary associate might only see picking and scanning for their own store, while a store manager oversees stock counts, transfers and overrides across locations.

Omnium powers retail networks of hundreds of stores today, including chains with more than 450 locations, and tracks stock down to each store's sales floor, backroom and display areas. Because the platform is cloud-native, rolling the app out to a new store is a configuration task, not an installation project.
